The Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher Education is a professional association committed to the improvement of educational and employment opportunities for Chicanos in higher education.

Dear TACHISTAS,
Thank you for a dynamic and inspirational conference in Dallas! I truly appreciate our conference committees, plenary speakers, session presenters, graduate fellowship and special awards recipients, board members, and especially our conference participants. You will soon be receiving an email requesting feedback so that we can begin planning next year’s conference in Austin. The success of the conference serves as a springboard to the important work we still have before us. If you are a TACHE member, I encourage you to get active in your chapter at your local institution. If you are not a member, please join soon! Together we can address pressing issues facing our community in higher education. Remember, we do not change the world when we are silent; we change the world when our voices are heard. In the coming year, crucial issues will be decided by our elected officials, make your voice count. The things we do today are important and carry a message of empowerment to our future educators and students. We hope you will join us at next year’s conference in February, 2019. More details coming soon. Best wishes,
Elizabeth D. Palacios, Ph.D., LSSP, LPC President, TACHE 2018
